This picture depicts the story of Lord Hanuman who was tasked with bringing the herb from the Himalayas to save Lord Lakshmana’s life after he was severely wounded in battle against Ravana. Unable to identify the specific herb, Hanuman lifted the entire Sanjeevi mountain, which was known to contain many medicinal plants, and flew it back to the battlefield, where the Sanjivani herb revived Lakshmana.
